Kitchen Fire Suppression should be a key component in any commercial kitchen or cooking area. The automatic fire extinguisher is designed to suit specific appliances and a large majority of the cooking equipment found in a typical kitchen: fryers, griddles, range tops, broilers, char-broilers and woks. Specific nozzles are selected and aimed at the hazard areas, making the best use of the liquid agent.
The kitchen fire suppression system uses a detection method usually installed in and around the cooking canopy, which melts when heated, releasing the wet chemical extinguishing agent through the discharge pipework. A manual release is installed along the exit route to allow earlier activation if needed. A pressure switch will also isolate the gas and electricity supplies when the system activates.
Kitchen systems are installed according to a bespoke design to suit the layout of the kitchen equipment.
