Clean agent extinguishers act to extinguish a fire by smothering it without damaging delicate electronic equipment external to the fire or leaving a residue. The Clean Agent does not conduct electricity back to the user making them also effective on electrical fires.

These clean agent portable fire extinguishers are safe for people, safe for assets, and are safe for use on Class A, B, and C fires. There are three basic types of agents in Clean Agent fire extinguishers; hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), and chlorofluorocarbon (CFC).
