High Velocity and Medium Velocity System
High-Velocity System:-
A High-Velocity system is a heating and cooling system that uses small tubes and vents to move air throughout a house. It's an updated version of traditional HVAC systems that uses more pressure to move air faster.
• Hot or cool air comes from a heat pump or compressor outside
• The air travels through thin, flexible tubing
• The air enters rooms through small, round vents
• The air is pushed through the house with more pressure than traditional systems
Benefits
• Faster climate control: Rooms reach the desired temperature faster
• Energy savings: The system doesn't need to run as long, so it uses less energy
• Easier installation: The tubing is flexible and easy to install compared to traditional systems
Medium Velocity Water Spray System:-
A Medium Velocity Water Spray System(MVWS) is a fire protection system that uses water sprayed at a medium velocity to control fires and protect structures.
• The system uses sprayers to direct water over the surface being protected
• The water cools, smothers, and dilutes the fire
• The system can be set to operate automatically or manually
• The system can be used to protect against fires involving flammable liquids, liquefied petroleum gases, and other flammable materials
Where it's used?
• To protect vessels, plants, and structures from heat from fires
• To protect adjacent plant and structures from heat during a fire
• To cool nearby equipment to minimize damage and reduce the risk of explosion
• In power station applications in coal conveyors, cable galleries, etc.
